About the Pride Business Forum
Working together with companies,
we create open and respectful working environments
where everyone can feel safe.
See how it all started.
Our story
We’ve been here a while, but we’re far
from alone. Our story is also shaped
by other courageous and inspiring people,
both inside and outside companies.

2011
Pride Business Forum as part of Prague Pride
In the beginning, there were only a few of us, but we already knew that we wanted
to address the working conditions of LGBTQ+ people. So we created a special
team – the Pride Business Forum.

2012
Getting stronger
Getting stronger
every year
Fairness at work became an important
part of Prague Pride. More companies joined us and helped us grow. We also learned from other countries and brought new ideas back.

2017
First member companies join us
In March, we signed our first memorandum with a company to support fair work for their people. And we’ve been signing up new members ever since.

2018
Introducing the LGBTQ+ Friendly Employer Award
Following the beProud model, for the first time, we recognised employers that create inclusive working environments for LGBTQ+ employees.

2019

Hero Award
The Hero Award is for anyone in a company who is committed to fair conditions
for LGBTQ+ people. We also launched our first training session. It was outdoors and four hours long, and we still remember it happily.

2020
Helping companies with employee
Helping companies with employee
mental health
The pandemic took us by surprise, as it did everyone else. Yet we learned to function during it, moving our training and annual conference online – both successfully.

2021
More online training
Companies were still thinking about fair working conditions even in this time of crisis. We provided more and more training sessions and never gave up, even though the world outside didn’t look very promising. One of our trainers even worked with her baby in a carrier

2022
We accept our 50th member company
More and more employers were showing that they care about their people. We also hosted our first Pride Business Forum Voices event and became part of the EPBN initiative focusing on the diversity of work teams in Europe.

2023
We make the Pride Business Forum a separate organisation
As our team expanded, we began thinking about what to do next. We ended up deciding to say goodbye to Prague Pride and devoted ourselves fully to the corporate sector. Yet we remained close to each other at work.

2024
We welcome our 100th member
Hundreds of employers already cared – and still care – about inclusive work environments. We were excited, proud, and ready to host the largest conference on LGBTQ+ issues, which quickly sold out.

And now you can
follow along with us
We are not stopping
and intend to continue working
to create fair working conditions for everyone.
