Protect workplace inclusion in Europe: The annual Pride Business Forum conference

More than 30 million LGBTQ+ people work in the European Union today. But their legal protection is still different from country to country. This affects companies, teams, and employees every day.

EU law bans discrimination based on sexual orientation. However, it does not fully protect gender identity or gender expression. Because of this, many trans and non-binary people do not have clear legal protection.

One day, endless inspiration

At the 16th Pride Business Forum Conference, you will not only listen — you will also get new contacts and practical ideas.

You will learn:

  • how EU laws are changing and what this means for companies,
  • how leaders build safe and inclusive workplaces,
  • why inclusion is important for future business success.

You can look forward to inspiring talks, practical workshops, and networking with people who are making real change.

When companies do more than they have to

Many companies today are taking the situation into their own hands. Progressive organisations do not wait only for laws or do just the minimum. They create their own rules and policies to fill the gaps in protection and to build workplaces where people feel safe and respected. This kind of psychological safety is an important base for innovation, productivity, and long-term growth.

But can EU laws really guarantee the rights of LGBTQ+ people at work? Or is the protection of talent and Europe’s economic future mainly driven by brave and forward-thinking companies? And does Europe need a clear directive to better protect LGBTQ+ people in the workplace?

Awards for the most committed changemakers

The conference will end with a gala evening and the EPBN – Wise Awards Ceremony. You will meet people and organisations who are helping create fair workplaces in real life. Will you join us?

This year’s conference is part of the project EPBN – WISE: Workplace Inclusion for Sustainable Europe on which we collaborate with national organisations allied at the European Pride Business Network: EDGE in Italy EDGE, L’Autre Cercle in France, Berufsverband VK in Germany, and Pride Biz in Austria.
