Combating online hate: tools, strategies, and support for LGBTQ+ organisations
Hate speech against LGBTQ+ people is not just a matter of individual comments on social media, but also a long-term burden for entire organizations and their teams. This workshop will focus on how to recognize online attacks and how to respond legally.

Special attention will be paid to the question of how to provide care to those who read and deal with hateful content – we will discuss how to protect yourself and your colleagues, and what care tools to implement. The workshop will also include a section on online safety and protection for individuals and organizations.
The workshop is part of the Pride Business Forum’s foundation’s activities that support people from organizations and initiatives dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ minorities and organizing Pride festivals and other awareness raising activities in the Czech Republic. Capacity building of skills necessary for the day-to-day work of such organizations is an integral part of the support.
