Tělák is a theatrical exhibition that takes you back to school and the gymnasium – places of strict rules, but also places where we learn what our bodies can do, what they are allowed to do, and what they want to do. Am I too sensitive? Am I too fat? Do I belong somewhere? Will I be enough? Will someone love me as I am? The idea for the exhibition came from Prague Pride, specifically from Tereza Kadlecová and Aleš Rumpel, who will personally guide you through the exhibition. More about the exhibition Tělák.
Join us for a guided tour of the exhibition Tělák with its authors and creators. The tour will be held in Czech. Together, we will move through the scenographic space of the exhibition, which brings us back to the school gymnasium – a place where we often become most intensely aware of our body, identity, and the gaze of others.
The exhibition works with authentic documentary stories of teenagers and adults and opens up themes of corporeality, judgment, norms, and acceptance. During the tour, the creators will offer insight into the process behind the installation, introduce the individual stories and the broader context of the exhibition, and create space for questions and shared reflection.
Take this unique opportunity to experience the exhibition together with its creators.
