3rd LGBTQ+ Financial Sector Symposium

Selected representatives of PBF member companies (not only) from the banking sector will gather to discuss topics such as economic benefits of diversity within a company, the phenomenon of pink money from an academic perspective, and advertising and marketing communication targeting LGBTQ+ people. This event is being held with the support of ČSOB.

Description

Pride Business Forum, in cooperation with ČSOB, is once again organizing the successful format of LGBTQ+ symposium in financial sector. You can look forward to moderated debates, presentations, and a short video. Where would the level of economy move after the acceptance of equal marriage? How much are LGBTQ+ issues addressed in supply chains and B2B business? What products do banks offer to their LGBTQ+ clients, and what challenges do banks encounter? Our event will provide you with answers not only to these questions. The moderator of this event is Štěpán Svoboda, a journalist from the E15 newspaper.

Štěpán Svoboda

Event Moderator

Štěpán Svoboda is the moderator of the Business Club E15 podcast. He is also currently a journalism student at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. He gained his first journalistic experiences working for CNN Prima News and Seznam Zprávy. Since January 2023, he has been working in the editorial office of the E15 daily. In the Business Club E15 podcast, he regularly invites personalities from the Czech business world to discuss current events in companies and the industry as a whole.

Marek Vokoun 

Marek Vokoun is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences, Jan Evangelista Purkyne University, and a long-time sports enthusiast (athletics, fitness, and volleyball). He is passionate about new technologies, teamwork, and helping others to achieve their goals. His research interests cover several areas of economics, including innovation and firm behavior, regional development and labor market dynamics, human resource management, and economic relations in the Czech Republic.

Tereza Košťálková

Tereza is a strategist at VML, a global advertising agency that is part of the WPP holding. Based in the Prague office, Tereza services major brands on both the Czech and global markets, including Česká spořitelna, Kaufland or Ford. Furthermore, she contributes to the brand and communications efforts of Prague Pride, reflecting a hands-on approach to supporting and promoting inclusivity.

With over 5 years of experience in marketing, Tereza has consistently pursued purposeful advertising aimed at driving meaningful change. As a strategist, she has been at the forefront of advocating for inclusive advertising within the industry. Tereza has not only incorporated these principles into her day-to-day practice but has also actively shared insights and experience through workshops and panel discussions.

Martin Zelenka

He graduated from the University of Hradec Králové (bachelor) and the University of Economics and Management (engineer). After experience in the telecommunications sector, where he worked in analytical positions in business or marketing, he joined ČSOB in 2014. The first position was in the reporting department at Risk Management, and subsequently it was data positions that led to him becoming an expert in data quality and data governance. In 2019, thanks to his contribution, ČSOB joined the Pride Business Forum memorandum. Since that year, Martin Zelenka has been the leader of the Proud employee group, which unites LGBT+ employees. This group provides internal services not only to its members, but also to other employees and management (e.g. training and thematic meetings). During his time, ČSOB received awards in the LGBT Friendly Employer competition for Employee Group of the Year, Jumper of the Year, and in 2021, ČSOB became a bronze employer.

Petra Jankovičová 

Petra embarked on her marketing and communication journey over 18 years ago. As a co-founder of Triad Prague, Petra was pivotal in transforming the agency from a nascent startup to one of the top independent contemporary agencies in the Czech market and Europe. Under her leadership, Triad ranked among the top 9 top independent agencies based on the Effie Index in Europe in 2022. She is a co-founding member of TEDx Bratislava, has served as the first female President of the Association of Communication Agencies in the Czech Republic, and leads initiatives for Ethics in advertising and communications. Her commitment to mentoring and education is evident through her roles in #HolkyzMarketingu, Femme Palette, and as a lecturer of Brand Strategy at SKVOT Czech. Petra is also a recognized speaker and columnist.

Pavel Šubrt 

Pavel is the co-founder of East meets West, the network of LGBTIQ professionals from Western & (primarily) Eastern Europe which for last 10 years is aiming to improve the social acceptance of LGBTIQ people in the region. He also co-founded back in 2019 The EGLCC, The European LGBTIQ Chamber of Commerce (EGLCC), where he heads Supplier Diversity Program. Pavel, born in 1977 in The Czech Republic, holds a Business degree from the Anglo-American University (AAU) of Prague. He is professionally active at an international bank and driving digitisation in corporate banking area. Pavel lives with his husband Laco, daughter Nella and son Lion in Vienna.

Jakub Komenda

Jakub has over 17 years of experience in marketing, 14 of which have been in digital marketing and product development. His experience comes from working for companies across various segments such as real estate, automotive, media, telco, and banking, where he has excelled as head of digital in MONETA Group for the last 7 years. Jakub got his master’s degree in environmental marketing and management at the University of Salford in Manchester, UK.

Martina Kučová

Martina is an experienced leader with a rich career path, which she has managed to balance with caring for her family and three children. She has spent a significant portion of her career in the financial sector. Currently, she serves as the HC Leader at PwC, where she helps the company adapt to rapidly changing trends in the world and in business, assists individuals in fostering a growth mindset, and focuses on leadership development. Additionally, she is the leader of the PwC for Women working group, which aims to enhance the representation of women in key platforms and managerial positions within PwC.

Klára Černá

Klára Černá is the Director of Education and Corporate Culture at ČSOB. She is proud to contribute to strengthening diversity and inclusion within the company. She believes that diversity is the key to innovation and success. She advocates for new approaches in education, especially in the context of digitization and AI. Her goal is to open doors to new opportunities for everyone so that we can grow and prosper together.

Jana Tikalová

Jana is the founder of OPIM and has been involved in DEI and human rights for 20+ years. She studied Anthropology at Durham University in the UK and has 25+ international projects and countless workshops on her list under her name. She has worked for two corporations in travel retail and automotive as an HR Manager and International Trainer. She is a certified coach and Google certified trainer in design thinking. She has been working as an external consultant and trainer in D&I for the Living Institute (DNK), ELAI (CZ), Council of Europe, European Commission, mentor in various platforms and is a board member of D&I Shapers, which she co-founded under the OPIM umbrella.

Barbora Kožíšková
Barbora Kožíšková is currently in charge of advertising the Vodafone brand in the Czech Republic for both the consumer and corporate segments. She has experience not only in telecommunications, but also in marketing for FMCG and air transport. She has also been an enthusiastic internal and inter-company mentor for several years.
