This event will unveil content of our brand new LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Groups Toolkit. It will be conducted in a hybrid format, offering attendees the option to participate either in person at MSD in Prague or virtually via Teams.

This insightful event will be focused on our newly launched LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Groups Toolkit. Michaela Švarcová, the esteemed author of the toolkit, will provide a comprehensive overview, detailing its content and target audience. Following this, a panel discussion featuring guests from PBF member companies, who have contributed their experiences to the toolkit, will ensue. The event will conclude with a networking session. It is worth noting that the event will be conducted in a hybrid format, offering both physical attendance at MSD and online participation via Teams. We look forward to your presence.

Event Details

Michaela Švarcová

Michaela is a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Professional and a member of the Gender Expert Chamber of the Czech Republic. With her academic background in HR management and gender studies, she focuses on strategies to create truly inclusive workplaces, particularly on Employee Resource Groups. Her mission involves a continuous and active search for ways to amplify less heard and overlooked voices, both in the workplace and in society.

Martin Zelenka

He graduated from the University of Hradec Králové (bachelor) and the University of Economics and Management (engineer). After experience in the telecommunications sector, where he worked in analytical positions in business or marketing, he joined ČSOB in 2014. The first position was in the reporting department at Risk Management, and subsequently it was data positions that led to him becoming an expert in data quality and data governance. In 2019, thanks to his contribution, ČSOB joined the Pride Business Forum memorandum. Since that year, Martin Zelenka has been the leader of the Proud employee group, which unites LGBT+ employees. This group provides internal services not only to its members, but also to other employees and management (e.g. training and thematic meetings). During his time, ČSOB received awards in the LGBT Friendly Employer competition for Employee Group of the Year, Jumper of the Year, and in 2021, ČSOB became a bronze employer.

Mariia Orlova

Mariia is an Associate Director for Security Operations at Novartis. With a focus on managing cybersecurity systems, she brings a wealth of expertise and experience to her role. Mariia holds a Master's Degree in Economics and Management of Organization.

However, Mariia's impact extends beyond her professional accomplishments. She is a co-leader of the Pride@Novartis Czechia Employee Resource Group. Embracing her role as a Pride Ambassador, Mariia is determined to be a role model and a strong advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. She firmly believes that cultivating diverse and inclusive workplaces is the key to unlocking business success.

When she's not immersed in her work or championing inclusivity, Mariia enjoys exploring the world alongside her fiancé and their two adorable small dogs. Traveling serves as a means for her to unwind, discover new cultures, and create lasting memories.

 

Karel Kohout

Karel is a Diversity and Inclusion specialist within Škoda Auto. Besides that, he is also one of the Core Team members of Škoda Proud, an Employee Resource Group, the first in Škoda ever oriented to LGBT+ employees. Karel’s big dream is to make the world a better place. At least a bit.
